Benefits of Rapid Opiate Detox
The treatment at Rapid Detox works to resolve the physical dependency on opiate based drugs. As a
result of our Rapid Opiate Detox treatment program, patients will no longer experience the elements of fear and suffering that accompany addiction. Several benefits of
Rapid Detox include:
- A recovered self esteem that accompanies the success of overcoming addiction.
- A withdrawal without the experience of suffering. Patients are anesthetized during the
withdrawal period to free them from the upsetting symptoms.
- A swift, effective procedure. While most treatments span a time period of weeks and months,
Rapid Detox patients will undergo a one-day treatment that allows them to quickly return to a normal and productive life. As a
result, work-related and family-related disruptions are kept to a minimum.
- A highly trained medical staff begins the treatment with a complete medical examination. Our
entire staff of anesthesiologists are board-certified and are assisted by highly trained, critical care unit nurses.
- Whether it be an addiction to street drugs or pain-management opiate addiction, we are proud to offer a
compassionate treatment that is specific to each individual patient.
- Our goal is to offer treatment that allows each patient to live a creative and productive life without being labeled an
"addict". We offer several aftercare options to assist you towards this goal.
CONVENTIONAL TREATMENT
Primary concern in the treatment of opiate addiction is the patient's self esteem. It is crucial that
the patient recover from treatment with a new and confident sense of self. Currently, the two primary treatment options,
methadone-based programs and traditional detox programs, are often ineffective in allowing the patient to recognize their own self
confidence. While often ineffective, they can also be dangerous.
Methadone-based programs make use of the synthetic narcotic methadone. Patients are given doses of methadone as a way
of treating their addiction to opiates. But, as a result of the long term craving for methadone, these methadone-based treatments simply replace one
addiction with another. Methadone characteristically embeds itself deep within the body, thus making it one of the most difficult
drugs to detoxify from. Often patients become addicted to the methadone treatment program for years.
Traditional detox
programs allow the patient to go through the withdrawal process with only mild sedation or no sedation at all. This treatment is often ineffective because patients are unable to withstand the horrible symptoms of withdrawal: symptoms that include
fever, vomiting, diarrhea, severe cramping and nausea. It is this lengthy period of withdrawal that often leads to the failure of this traditional treatment
Rapid Detox is proud to offer a treatment that is vastly different than these conventional treatments. We believe our
treatment is the most effective process at regaining the health and self esteem of each individual patient.
